Town Shares Temporary Facility Closures September 29 and 30

HIGH RIVER – The Town of High River will be closing facilities for a few hours on both September 29 and 30 to enable staff to take part in training, a general meeting and Indigenous awareness activities.

  • Please place garbage out on your regular collection day for the full day. There may be delays however crews will pick up garbage on regular collection days.
  • The Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will be closed except for registered programs.

We appreciate your patience and understanding. As a people first organization, customer service is important to us. We also value the people who work for the Town providing services to residents. We place a high priority on ensuring our organization offers staff training opportunities that ultimately benefit our community.

Staff will be participating in training, a general staff meeting and Indigenous awareness activities on Thursday, September 29, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Friday, September 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

To accommodate these activities, some facilities and services will be closed during these times:

Time of closures:

Sept 29: 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Sept 30: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Facilities and Services affected:

High River’s Town Hall and Reception Area

Public Works

Recycle Centre

Garbage collection will occur on scheduled days and may be delayed – please place your bins out as usual and leave them out until collection occurs.

High River Fire Department Administration

Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will be closed except for registered programs.

No drop-in programming during this time

Facilities and services remaining open:

Family and Community Support Service (FCSS) and the Family Resource Centre

Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex – registered programs only

Emergency Services are not affected by these closures. Call 9-1-1 in an emergency.

Facilities and services will re-open/resume:

Thursday – at 1 p.m.

Friday – 11:30 a.m.

During these closures, residents are encouraged to leave a telephone message or send an email to staff contacts. A complete telephone and email contact list can be found HERE.
