Family Day Weekend Festivities and Facility Closures on February 20
HIGH RIVER – In observance of Family Day Town facilities will be closed on Monday, February 20. Please note that there will be no changes to regular garbage pickup. The list of closures is below.
Leading up to Family Day, our Parks and Recreation staff are hosting a weekend of family festivity! Enjoy free swimming, skating, drop-in sports and family fun at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.
On Monday, February 20, the following Town facilities will be closed for Family Day.
- Town Office
- Parent Link Centre
- Family and Community Support Services (FCSS)
- Public Works
- Recycling Centre
- RCMP Administration Office
- Fire & Protective Services Administration Offices
These closures will not impact essential Services such as the Fire Department and RCMP. In the event of an emergency always call 9-1-1.
Family Day weekend festivities from Saturday, February 18 to Monday, February 20:
- Saturday, February 18 – 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. - Family Swim
- Sunday, February 19 – 10:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. – Family Skate, Small Arena
- Sunday, February 19 – 1:00 P.M. – 2:45 P.M. – Family Shinny, Small Arena
- Monday, February 20 – 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. – Family Sports, Fieldhouse & Family Swim & Family Skate, Large Arena
The festivities are free to attend. We encourage people attending to bring a Jumpstart or Food Bank Donation.
