High River residents must still make Town payments on time during the Canada Post mail services disruption.
If you haven’t received an expected regular or monthly bill, it’s your responsibility to locate and pay it. Here are some options for finding and paying your bills during the disruption:
- Call-in: Call the Town at 403-652-2110 to find out what is owing on your accounts. Payments cannot be made over the phone.
- Pay in Person: Provide or request a copy of your bill/tax notice and make your payment (cash, cheque, or debit) with a High River customer care representative at the High River and Foothills Joint Administration Building, located at 309B Macleod Trail SW. The Administration Building is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, closed on weekends and statutory holidays.
- Pay at your Bank: Pay at most local banks or credit unions by presenting a copy of your bill.
- After Hours Payment Drop-off: Place your payment along with the bottom portion of your bill/tax notice in an envelope and drop your payment into the deposit box to the right of the Town of High River doors located at 309B Macleod Trail SW.
- Online: Find out what you owe through our Citizen Self Services portal, and then payments can be made online through most major banks or credit unions. To avoid late charges, allow seven days for processing.
To start receiving invoices by email the request must be made in writing and not over the phone:
- Complete the Change of Address and Contact Information form; or
- Email corporateservices@highriver.ca and provide your service address and email address where you wish to receive your invoices.
Due to the disruption, some bills—such as utility bills, accounts receivable, and tax statements—may not have been delivered by mail.
Visit the Canada Post website to stay up to date on the status of the mail services disruption.
