Council
High River Town Council would like to hear resident comments regarding the proposed NW Pedestrian and cyclist bridge over the Highwood River. A resident survey will remain open until March 4, 2022.
Following an initial study in 2019, the Town is now conducting a more detailed feasibility study of the bridge, discussed at their January 26 Special Budget Meeting.
“The Northwest Pedestrian Bridge is a strategic priority for Council. We’ve reviewed options and narrowed it down to two potential locations,” notes Mayor Craig Snodgrass. “Hearing from all residents - those who want this bridge, and those who don’t - will provide us with an understanding of High River residents’ vision for this bridge and help Council develop a clear plan of action regarding location, design, appearance and costs.”
The survey deadline is March 4, 2022. Be sure to share your comments with Council. Results of the survey will be considered by Council in their final decision. Check the Town’s website and social media for information regarding a future Council meeting discussion on this project.
